Fred is a world class bridge player and the programmer who created BBO.

Bridge Base Inc., was founded in 1991 to supply the bridge world with educational products for the serious bridge student. The development of the Bridge Engine in 1994 enabled books to be converted into software products for Windows. He created the online bridge service on MSN — The Gaming Zone.

Fred began his programming career at age 12! and learned to play bridge at age 18.

His bridge accomplishments include finishing 2nd in World Championship Events three times, Gold medallist 2002 IOC Grand Prix, Silver medallist 1997 Maccabiah Games, 2003 Winner Cavendish Invitational Pairs, and much, much more. His other interests include downhill skiing, tennis, golf, juggling, computer science, and mathematics.

He is married to Sheri. They live in Las Vegas with their dog Magic.
